Details: The last Sunday of every month welcomes the Brass Volcanoes to Dragon Hall, tucked away in Stukeley St, just off Drury Lane (Holborn End) in central London.
As well as fine and funky eco-friendly jazz (no amplification needed for this acoustic menagerie), there is great (cheap) Soul Food, and lovely (cheap) beer, wine and other bevvies.
You could be in the Maple Leaf in New Orleans, listening to the fine sounds of this street-funky outfit, who follow the best traditions of the brass bands of New Orleans. It's great music, which never takes itself too seriously.
At only £4 on the door, and a 10pm finish, it won't stretch your wallet, or make you late for work on Monday morning. A great way to end the weekend.
Musicians and singers welcome - it's not really a jam session, but the band always expands as the evening goes on - sometimes involving everyone in the room.
Location:
Dragon Hall, 17 Stukeley Street, London WC2B 5LT. Covent Garden, West Central, London, England, United Kingdom.
