One of the very first artists to sign to Hospital Records way back at the turn of the millennium, Danny Byrd’s own inimitable take on soulful, vocal Drum and Bass has become a staple in the scene. His use of house and R&B influences immediately began turning heads with his first Hospital singles Do it Again and Changes. Later that year when Radio 1's Fabio championed Danny's remix of London Elektricity’s Wishing Well, his status as a soulful DnB heavyweight was confirmed. Always favouring quality over quantity, Byrd’s remixes for High Contrast and contributions to the Weapons of Mass Creation albums help make up his select output.

This year saw the launch of Danny's long awaited debut LP Supersized, which features the massive anthems Shock Out and Weird Science. The album garnered high praise from some of the scene’s biggest hitters and followers including Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and the mighty Andy C.

The Danny Byrd – Drum and Bass Vol 2 collection from Hospital Records and Loopmasters includes over 440 heavyweight royalty free samples, including 35 full Drum loops and 139 Drum Separate Loops, 22 Searing Lead Riffs, 52 Inspirational Music Loops, 12 Vocal Loops and 17 Shaker and Tambourine Patterns.

If that wasn’t enough there are 81 patches ready to play in most soft samplers which include 25 Drum Kit Patches, 90+ Single Drum Samples, 10 Beat Fill samples, 18 FX Risers, 30 Subsonic and Tearing Bass Hits/Patches, 20 playable Pad Chords and 9 FX hits.
